Carl Tom Gordon

     Carl “Tom” Gordon, a 48 year area resident, entered into rest on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home in Middletown, NY. He was 74 years of age.

    The son of the late Francis and Grace Gordon, he was born on November 6, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

    Tom retired from the Arden Hill Hospital maintenance department after 29 years of service. He was formerly employed for 18 years at the Paper Mill in Piermont, NY. Tom was a Jack of all trades and was always assisting others. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Middletown and a lifelong Mets fan.

    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie L. Gordon at home in Middletown; his children, Danielle M. Lawrence and husband Edward, Jennifer L. Carl and husband Matthew, and Steven W. Gordon all of Middletown; his grandchildren, Kristofer Gordon, Alexandra and Trevor Lawrence; his sister, Audrey R. Griswold and husband Charles of Middletown; sisters-in-law, Wendy Gates of Pearl River, Cindy Daly of Pine Bush, and Nan Worum of Alaska; and several nieces & nephews. Tom was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Carla Gordon, nephew William Calpin and niece Charlene Kelly.

   Family and friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Thursday, June 29th from 4-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, June 30th at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY. Reverend Peter A. Rustico will officiate. Interment will take place at 11 AM Saturday, July 1st in St. Paul Highview Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.

     Memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940 or to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
