- Warren "Snake" Roda, 83, passed away at his home in Otisville, NY on July 11, 2022.

He was born to Adin Roda and Gertrude Kruger Roda on May 19, 1939.  Warren grew up in Otisville, NY and graduated from Otisville High School.   After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington and was the driver of an Armored Personnel Carrier.  Following an Honorable Discharge from the service, he then attended the School for Visual Arts in NYC and began his career as the Advertising Manager at Lloyds Shopping Center.  Later he was employed at Ketcham Fencing, Inc. in Otisville, NY where he worked until retirement.

After retirement he and his beloved wife Doris traveled the U.S. in their VW Camper.  They visited the National Parks and many other wonderful landmark destinations in the United States.

As an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors and Mother Nature.  He is an honorary member of the Otisville Sportsmen.  Warren was a Trustee for the Village of Otisville for a number of years and has always carried fond memories of the Otisville community and his school friends.

Warren is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Roda at home in Otisville and his three sons and their spouses, Ralph (Bevin) of Pine Bush, Ronald (Adria) of Narrowsburg, and Randolph (Laura) of Middletown and his sister Joan Roda Applegate of Sparrowbush.

His grandchildren, Eric (Shay) of Middletown, Adam (Jessica) of Narrowsburg, Aden and Molly of Pine Bush, all held a special place in his heart.  He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experiences with them.

In his later years, he was blessed with a great granddaughter, Madison of Middletown, who was a never ending source of joy for him as he watched her grow. He was predeceased by his  brother Norris “Bones” Roda.

There will be no visitation.

The family will be holding a private Memorial at a later date.
