Walter Kaczmar, a lifelong resident of the area, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. He was 79.
The son of Michael Kaczmar and Mary Mack Kaczmar, he was born April 26, 1927 in Florida, N.Y.
Walter was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and several great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers: John, Michael and Joseph Kaczmar, and sisters: Olga Scheff, Anna Noger, Stephanie Paffenroth, and Jennie Wotosek.
There will be no public visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Euclid Avenue Ext., Middletown, N.Y., with the Rev. Frank Dixon officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
