Thomas A. Zolnoski

Thomas A. Zolnoski, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 68 years of age.

    The son of the late Frank and Mary Zolnoski, he was born on February 23, 1955 in Middletown, NY.

   Tom had been employed by the City of Middletown at the water treatment plant. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he was an Altar Server and custodian. Tom was an avid runner, and won many trophies at local races. He also loved cats, in addition to housing many indoor domestic cats, daily he would bring cat treats and food to several feral cat colonies around town.

    Survivors include: his brother, Stanley Zolnoski and his wife Elizabeth of New Port Richey, FL and his sister, MaryAnn McKeon and husband Dennis of Waxhaw, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Tom was predeceased by his brothers, Michael, Anthony & Francis Zolnoski, sister Patricia Vargas and his companion Alice McGeady.

  Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.

   A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10 AM Saturday, November 25th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Euclid Avenue Ext., Middletown, NY.

   Interment of his cremains will immediately follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Cottage St., Middletown, NY.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to Hudson Valley SPCA, 44 Police Drive, Goshen, NY 10924.

   Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
