Susan Marie Perkowski

  Susan Marie Perkowski, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest unexpectedly on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Matamoras, PA. She was 65 years of age.

    The daughter of Ronald L. Bennett Jr. and the late Linda Bennett, she was born on January 12, 1959 in Middletown, NY.

    Susan was a homemaker and formerly employed at the Great American Grocery Store in Port Jervis.  She was a former avid bowler at Middletown Lanes and Minisink Lanes. She was a member of Les Dames De 700. Susan was considered the family historian and enjoyed researching the family’s ancestry.

   Survivors include: her father, Ronald L. Bennett Jr. of Howells; her companion, Anthony L. Roberto of Matamoras, PA; her 4 daughters, Julie Kalin & husband Bruce of Port Jervis, Kristi Gostischa & husband James of Port Jervis, Denise L. Miranda & husband Claudio of Port Jervis and Andrea DeWinter & husband Ryan of Circleville; her grandchildren, J.J., Amber, Kayla, Stephanie, Dominic, Jonah & Rylie; her sister Kelly L. Bennett  and brother, Ronald L. Bennett III both of Middletown; several nieces & nephews. Susan was predeceased by her mother Linda Bennett, brother Daniel Bennett, sister Sherry L. King and niece Mandee King.

    Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY

    A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-6 PM Saturday, February 24th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.  Interment of Susan’s cremains will be in the family plot in Howells Cemetery, Howells, NY in the spring.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
