– Sharon Dickstein, a resident of of Boca Raton, FL for 5 years and formerly 45 years of Middletown, NY died Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT.
She was 76 years of age.
Daughter of the late Paul and Ann Goldsmith Weinchel, she was born on January 17, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY.
Sharon was a retired educator and principal of the Port Jervis Bi-Centennial Elementary School. She was a member and Past President of Temple Sinai in Middletown and a member of the Sisterhood of Temple Sinai and Hadassah. Sharon was also a member of the NY State Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include: her husband, Allen Dickstein of Boca Raton, FL; her children, Debra Faizakoff and husband Daniel of Stamford, CT, Joshua Dickstein and wife Lauren of Chevy Chase, MD, Aaron Dickstein and wife Whitney of Cape Cod, MA and Michael J. Dickstein of NY, NY; 7 grandchildren; her brother, Seymour Winchell of West Palm Beach, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon, on Tuesday March 28th in Temple Sinai, 75 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY. Rabbi Joel Schwab will officiate. Interment will follow in Temple Sinai Cemetery, Route 302, Circleville, NY. A Meal of Condolence will be held at Temple Sinai following the interment service.
