Ruth Ann (Werner) Davis

     Ruth Ann Werner Davis, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was 78 years of age.

    The daughter of the late Carl and Marjorie Tilford Werner, she was born on November 12, 1938 in Middletown, NY.

     Ruth and her husband Tom Davis were married on June 27, 1959 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church by Reverend Berthold Forrester.  

   Ruth was a homemaker and was formerly employed as a teacher’s aide in the Middletown School System and had various other jobs outside the home.

    Ruth was a confirmed Lutheran. She adored her grandchildren and was an extremely loyal friend. Ruth and husband Tom enjoyed going on rides in the car and attending a weekly movie. 

    Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Davis at home in Middletown; her daughter, Tracy Davis Pazdar and her husband David of Scotchtown; her granddaughters, Kasha Pazdar, a student at SUNY Binghamton and Kristina Pazdar of Scotchtown; and several cousins; her lifelong friend Elinor Nowak with whom she attended school and church and  spoke daily on the telephone.

    Family and friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 10-11 AM where funeral services will begin at 11 AM.  Reverend Peter A. Rustico will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot in Scotchtown Cemetery in the Town of Wallkill.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
