Ronald F. Arnott a 49 year resident of California and formerly of Middletown, NY entered into rest on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his home in Sacramento, CA. He was 76 years of age.
The son of the late Clayton K. And Catherine Constantino Arnott, he was born on September 22, 1948 in Middletown, NY.
While in Middletown, he was an agent for Prudential Insurance Co., and after moving to California he was employed in auto sales and moved into auto financing.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970 during Vietnam.
Ron graduated from Middletown High School with the Class of 1966. He was an accomplished musician, playing guitar and accordion and was a member of the Pastels. In California he lived in a 55 plus community and enjoyed playing his accordion for the residents. Ron enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, following and cheering for the 49ers football team, spending time with his dogs and traveling. His last trip was to Alaska with family. He got enjoyment out of making people laugh.
Ronnie will be sadly missed by family and friends. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart and love for family. Ronnie would always find time to tell a story or two often filled with humor and laughs. His memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to all those who knew him.
Survivors include; his wife, Jan Arnott at home; his loving children, Tina Viramontes of Clearlake, CA, Ron Arnott Jr, and his wife Crystal of Sacramento, CA, and Casey Eldringhoff and husband Geoff of Warrenton, VA; two step-children Joel Wallace and his wife Jillian of Napa, CA and Tania Alvarez of Modesto, CA; his brother Clayton J. Arnott and his wife Patricia of Myrtle Beach, SC and sister Dorothy Garvey and husband Patrick of Bloomingburg, NY; his grandchildren, Sierra, Ronnie, Casey, Adam, Jacob, Anastasia, Alicia, Antonio, Bella, Liam, and Catriona.; and several nieces & nephews. Ronnie was predeceased by his parents, his first wife and mother of his children Gloria Tesoro, his second wife Judith Russo & son-in-law Robert Viramontes.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 12th at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
