Rollin L. Lybolt, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 81 years of age.
The son of the late Richard Kenneth Lybolt and Isabel Youngs Lybolt, he was born on October 24, 1939 in Middletown, NY.
Rollin retired as the working foreman of the City of Middletown Parks & Recreation Department.
Rollin was a member and former trustee of the North Congregational United Church of Christ, member and past president of the Middletown Lions Club, member of Middletown Elks Lodge #1097, 55 year member of Hoffman Lodge No. 412 Free and Accepted Masons, and member of the Middletown Recreation Commission.
Survivors include; his wife of 57 years, Carole J. Lybolt, at home in Middletown; his two sons, Mark C. Lybolt and his wife Maria of Whitesboro, NY and Matthew R. Lybolt and his companion Keri Beairsto of Middletown; his four grandchildren, Michael T. Lybolt, Daniel P. Lybolt, Gregory A. Lybolt and Mia Rose Lybolt; his brother, Richard Lybolt and his wife Lynn of Sun City, AZ; his sister, Gail Stevens of Ithaca, NY; many nieces & nephews. Rollin was predeceased by his twin sister Marion Forkey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-7 PM Friday, October 1st at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY where Lions Club services will be held at 4:30 PM, Elks services at 5:30 PM and Masonic services at 6:30 PM.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NY.
