Robert W. Weber

    Robert W. Weber, a 51 year area resident, entered into rest on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Middletown Park in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 90 years of age.

    The son of the late William A. and Matilda Pyle Weber, he was born on January 24, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY.

   Robert was a retired detective with the NYPD last serving with the 19th Precinct in Manhattan. He attended Holy Cross Church in South Centerville and formerly Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a former Councilman and Town Justice in the Town of Minisink, and former security guard for the Minisink Valley High School from 1986-1995. Robert was a member of Rutgers Engine Company #1 in Johnson, a member of Kiwanis, and member of the Unionville American Legion.

    Survivors include: his daughter, Kathy Anne Weber of Ellenville; daughter-in-law JoAnn Weber of Westtown; his grandchildren, Kelly Bane, Shannon Bane, & Robert Weber and his wife Krista; his great grandchildren, John Demchak & Isabella Santiago; several nieces & nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents, his wife Dorothy Anna Weber, his son William Robert Weber, and brother Martin Weber.

   Family and friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Thursday, November 2nd from 2-6 PM. where an American Legion service will be conducted at 5 PM.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM Friday, November 3rd at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 626 County Road 22, Middletown, NY (South Centerville). Interment will follow in the Unionville Cemetery at Waterloo, 65 Waterloo Road, Westtown, NY 10998.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rutgers Engine Company #1, P.O. Box 85, Johnson, NY 10933 or to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
