Robert Wesley Crawford

Robert Wesley Crawford, a 6 year resident of Matamoras, PA and formerly of California, MD entered into rest on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Bon Secours Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. He was 84 years of age.

      Son of the late Prince Albert and Lucille Crawford, he was born on July 16, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY.

      Robert retired from the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York City where he served as a Token Booth Agent. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959.

      Survivors include: his sons, Louis K. Crawford and his wife Tanya if Matamoras, PA and Michael I. Crawford and his wife Pamela of California, MD; his grandchildren Jennifer & Robert Crawford, Hailie & Justin Giordano, and Steven & Daniel Clemons; several great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents, his wife Natalie Crawford, sister Ruby & brother John.

      A Celebration of Life will take place from 1-3 PM Sunday, May 21st at the Veterans Memorial Park, 10th St. & Ave. S, Matamoras, PA 18336.

      Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY and his cremains will be buried beside his wife in Judean Memorial Gardens, Montgomery County, MD

      Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s honor to the American Heart Association.
