Miriam K. Holtzman

        Miriam K. Holtzman, a lifelong area resident, died on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. She was 93 years of age.

    The daughter of the late Louis and Lillian Katz, she was born on December 13, 1928 in Newburgh, NY.

     Miriam was a homemaker and prior to raising her family she had been employed as a legal secretary.

      Miriam was a member of Temple Sinai in Middletown and former member of the Sisterhood of Temple Sinai. She was a life member of Hadassah, Past President of the board of Thrall Library which she served for many years. Miriam was a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and a member of the Middletown Arts Council. She had a lifelong interest in furthering her education and a deep love for the arts.

   Survivors include: her daughter, Jacqueline Holtzman Reisinger and her husband Eugene of Middletown; her sons, David M. Holtzman of Middletown and Robert S. Holtzman and his wife Cathy Monroe of the United Kingdom; her grandchildren, Paul Reisinger, Joseph Reisinger and his partner Annie Dineen, Matthew Holtzman, Andrew Holtzman, Louisa Holtzman and Maxwell Holtzman; her 2 great grandchildren, Maddox Holtzman and Lilliana Holtzman; her brother, Marvin Katz and his wife Barbara of Naples, FL; and several nieces & nephews. Miriam was predeceased by her husband Milton Holtzman on January 28, 1997.

   Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 25th at Temple Sinai, 75 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. Rabbi Emily Cobert will officiate. Interment will follow in the Temple Sinai Cemetery, Circleville, NY.
