It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of May Viola Brown, age 87, of Middletown, NY, who peacefully left us on September 30, 2024, in Spring Hill, FL. Born on January 30, 1937, in Cornwall, NY, May was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister whose presence brought joy and warmth to everyone around her.
May is survived by her loving sister, Mary Newman, her devoted daughters Sharon Simpson and Viola Meland (husband Johannes), and her sons Roy Beam (wife Martha), Vincent Beam, Edward Beam (wife Debbie), Wayne Beam (wife Yvonne), and Glen Beam. She was adored by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Brown, her sons Ross and Richard Beam, her daughter Carol Martel, three brothers, one sister, and her beloved dog, Cocoa, all of whom she now joins in eternal peace.
May was a retired Dietary Supervisor at The Valley View Center in Goshen, NY, where her dedication and care left a lasting impact. Known for her profound love for her family, her heart of gold, and her passion for cooking, she filled her home with laughter, love, and the smell of her delicious meals.
Her family and friends will miss her more than words can ever express.
A memorial service will be held in May's honor on November 2, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at Cornelius, Dodd and Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove Street, Middletown, NY.
