Marilyn Reiss

     Marilyn Leitner Reiss (6/20/36 - 8/18/22). 

Marilyn was born and raised in the Bronx and attended The Bronx High School of Science. She spent most of her adult life living on the family dairy farm (Reiss Farms) in Goshen, NY.  After retirement, she and her husband Fred were snowbirds in Boynton Beach, FL. An avid book reader and writer, she is the author of the beloved children's book Thackeray Turtle. She was an active member of Temple Sinai and Hadassah for many years. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Sue Shapiro. She is survived by her adoring husband Fred, children Fern Reiss (Jonathan Harris), Michael Reiss (Cathy Lamstein-Reiss), son-in-law Avie Shapiro, grandchildren Benjamin, Daniel, Ariel, Shoshie, Yona, Atara, Nechama, Brandon and Joshua, and great-grandchildren Mayan and Elchai. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 21st at 2 PM at Temple Sinai, 75 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY.
