Margaret E. Burlingame

Margaret E. Burlingame, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY.  She was 77 years of age.

     The daughter of the late Theodore and Lorraine Schoeneberger, she was born on July 28, 1947, in Middletown, N.Y.

    Margaret was employed as a Therapy Aide at the Middletown Psychiatric Center until 2003 and most recently was a Behavioral Health Aide at Orange Regional Medical Center from until she retired in 2013. She was a member of C.S.E.A and Woodmen of the World.

     Survivors include: her life partner, Edward Brewer, Sr.; her daughter, Irene North (Paul) of Scottsbluff, NE; her grandson, David Burlingame (Kayla) and their son, Wyatt, of Middletown; her brother, Richard Schoeneberger (Linda Reese) of Middletown; her sisters, Elaine Carey (Michael) of Middletown, and Julia Schoeneberger (Richard Plant) of Middletown;  nieces and nephews, Jacob Schoeneberger (Denise), Andrea Jinks (Ryan), Kaylie Connolly (Rich), and Amber Hoetzel (JC); and many great nieces and great nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Lorraine Schoeneberger, brother David Schoeneberger, nephew Patrick Carey, nephew Richard Schoeneberger Jr. and nephew Michael Schoeneberger Sr.

   Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, N.Y.

    A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, N.Y. Interment of her cremains will follow in the Howells Cemetery, Howells, N.Y.
