Margaret L. Bonanto

   Margaret L. Bonanto, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Valley View Center in Goshen, NY. She was 103 years of age.

    The daughter of the late George and Ida Furhberg Roeder, she was born on September 16, 1914 in Port Jervis, NY.

   Margaret was a clerk with the U.S. Post Office in Otisville, NY. Margaret was a member of the Holy Name Church in Otisville. She was a former member of the Otisville Grange, the Otisville Seniors and the Otisville Garden Club.

    Survivors include: her sister-in-law, Helene Roeder of Huguenot, NY; many nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, James Bonanto, sisters Ida Roeder and Mae Roeder, and brothers Max and Henry Roeder.

    Visitation for family and friends will be from 10-11 AM Thursday, August 30th at the Holy Name Church, 45 Highland Ave., Otisville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM at the church. Reverend Michael Palazzo will officiate. Interment will follow in the Holy Name Cemetery, Otisville.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Name Church, P.O. Box 597, Otisville, NY 10963.
