MILLICENT "MILLIE" EVELYN HINKLEY Middletown, N.Y. Millicent "Millie" Evelyn Hinkley, a resident of the area for over 50 years, died Friday, February 25, 2005 at the home of her daughter Bonnie in Middletown. She was 87. The daughter of the late Dennis Murdock and Laura DeSilva Murdock, she was born March 21, 1917 in Margaretsville. She was a retired beautician and owner of Millie's Beauty Shop in Middletown and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Middletown. Millicent loved her church and was an active member for 50 years. She loved flowers and helping people. She was an avid painter with oil paints and a photographer. She was a cat lover at heart. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Rhein-Reed of Middletown, Louise Marie Davis and husband Daniel B. of Spring Church, Pa., Bonnie Pittenger and husband John of Middletown; one sister, Virginia Barrett of Campbell Hall; 10 grandchildren, Linda Laurie Youngblood, Paul Hyde III, Edward Hyde, Anthony Rhein, Kimberly E. Lytle, Krystal L. Tones, Karolyn A. Knowlton, Kelly S. Davis, David J. Cutler Jr., Redgie Cutler; 16 great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Edward Hinkley and brother James Murdock. Friends may call at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, County Rt 78, Middletown on Monday, February 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to services. Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the church. The Rev. Nelson W. Cook and Rev. Daniel B. Davis will officiate. Interment will be in Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor. In lieu of flowers, emorial contributions may be made to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church Building Fund, 24 Wickham Ave., Middletown, NY 10940 or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court Newburgh, NY 12550.
