Lawrence E. Kirby, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 92 years of age.
The son of the late Edson & Clara Elston Kirby, he was born on July 7, 1932 in Middletown, NY.
Larry was a former dairy farmer but most recently grew and sold berries and vegetables and was known and referred to as Larry’s Berries. Larry graduated from Middletown High School and was in the building program at Academy Avenue School. He was an avid hunter and would often travel to hunt. Larry was also a founding member of Middletown Pistol and Rifle Association.
Survivors include; his sister, Lois Mulhair and her husband Claude of North Carolina; nieces, nephews & cousins including Leslie and Tammy Kirby of Middletown. Larry was predeceased by his parents and his sister Marion Hahn and her husband Carl.
Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
A celebration of life and memorial gathering will be held this summer.
