Kevin E. Nilsen

  Kevin E. Nilsen, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. He was 54 years of age.

    The son of the late Kenneth and MaryEllen Nilsen, he was born March 1, 1964 in Yonkers, NY.

   Kevin was the founder and broker of the Kevin Nilsen Insurance Agency in Slate Hill, NY. He was a supporter of many community events and sponsor of area sports clubs.

    Survivors include his children, Matthew R. Nilsen of Middletown, Amy N. Nilsen of Tampa, FL and Brad M. Nilsen of Middletown; his former wife and friend Jayne Nilsen of Middletown; his sister, Kim Nilsen Davis of Dallas, TX; his step-mother Silvia Nilsen of Irving, TX.

    Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday, May 18th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Services will be held at 7:30 PM.

    Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

    Memorial contributions in Kevin’s name may be made to the Cancer Research Institute, 29 Broadway, NY, NY 10006.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
