John R. Michelotti

– John R. Michelotti, a 33 year area resident, entered into rest on Friday, September 15, 2023 at his home in Bullville, NY. He was 93 years of age.

    The son of the late Natale & Anna Clause Michelotti, he was born on September 24, 1929 in Staten Island, NY.

   John was a retired union carpenter, real estate entrepreneur, and successfully bred and raised thoroughbred race horses for over 30 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. John was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America and a member of NYRA.

    Survivors include: his daughters, Barbara Ann Michelotti, Francine Attanasia and her husband Ralph, and Pamela Stanislaus and her husband Raj; his grandchildren, John R. Michelotti III, Ralph A. Attanasia, Paul M. Attanasia, Christopher R. Amass, Chelsea A. Armistead, Brandon Stanislaus, Morgan Cogan & Jensen Stanislaus; his great grandchildren, Nicole, Julia, Marlowe,  John, Dominic & Giannina. John was predeceased by his wives, Frances Michelotti and Mira Michelotti, son John R. Michelotti Jr., brother Eli Michelotti & sister Josephine Call.

  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, September 21st at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, September 22nd at the funeral home. Deacon Carl Locatelli will officiate.

   Interment will be in the Scotchtown Cemetery in the Town of Wallkill.

    Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
