Joan Renner Decker

Joan Renner Decker, a lifelong area resident and formerly of Otisville, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, February 25, 2023

at Middletown Park in the Town of Wallkill. She was 93 years of age.

      Daughter of the late Washington and Pearl Henion Padgett, she was born on June 20, 1929 in Mill Rift, PA.

      Joan had been employed as a bookkeeper for Decker’s Garage in Otisville, NY.

      Survivors include: her children, Harold A. “Hank” Decker and his wife Eileen of Otisville, NY and Richard B. “RD” Decker and his wife Donna of Cuddebackville, NY and Tammy Decker Kirby and her husband Leslie of Middletown, NY; her daughters-in-law Patricia Renner Epsaro of Walden, NY and Linda A. Renner of Otisville, NY; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husbands, Nelson W. Renner and Harold B. Decker, her sons, Nelson W. Renner Jr. and Randolph Renner, her daughter and son-in-law Nancy J. King and Andrew King, her grandsons, Joshua Lucas Decker and Duane Michael Renner, and her sisters, Shirley M. Clifford, Ann Pepper and Audrey Harrington.

      A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday, March 1st at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 2nd at the funeral home. Reverend Jeffrey Farley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery in Otisville.
