Jennifer A. Vollmer, a 37 year area resident, entered into rest on Saturday, February 5, 2022 with her husband and eldest son by her side. She was 63 years of age.

The daughter of the late Vito and Louise (Wolfe) Tetro, she was born on July 1, 1958 in New York City, NY.

Jen retired from her position at the Minisink Valley School District after many years of service. She loved working with children, and especially enjoyed her time working in the Special Education Department. She attended the Holy Cross Church in South Centerville, NY.

The matriarch of her family, Jen is survived by her loving husband of over 41 years, Lawrence A. Vollmer at home in Johnson, NY; her devoted children, Larry A. Vollmer and his wife Nikki of New Lisbon, WI, Anthony N. Vollmer and his wife Andrea of Naperville, IL, and Katrina N. Vollmer and her fiancé Brian Henchy of Slingerlands, NY.

Jen was a proud grandmother (MiMa), and some of the greatest moments in her life were the times she spent with her grandsons, Chase and Luke Vollmer (of Anthony and Andrea Vollmer).

Jen is also survived by her siblings, Nicole Ackerler of Centereach, NY and her children, Jenna, Marisa and Michael; her brother, Anthony Tetro of Bellerose, NY and his children, Anthony Jr., Vincent and Samantha; her sister Stephanie Tetro of Bellerose, NY. Jen was predeceased by her parents, Vito and Louise, and her sister, Lisa Panza.

Jen was known for her excitement to lend a helping hand and shoulder to lean on, whether it be for her family, friends, or a complete stranger in need. When her children were younger she loved to read them The Giving Tree, a story she brought to real life.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00pm-8:00pm Monday, February 14th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Funeral services will be private for the family. Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
