James Joseph Lemmerman, a longtime area resident, entered into rest on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the home of his daughter, in Otisville, NY. He was 80 years of age.
Son of the late Joseph and Grace Lemmerman, he was born on August 7, 1941 in New York, NY.
Jim was a retired high school teacher, retiring from the Monticello School District and formerly taught at the Monroe-Woodbury School District. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1963-1965. Jim was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association, the New York State Technology Education Association, and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include; his wife, Joyce Ann Lemmerman at home; his children, Kristin Jenifer Crance and her husband Stephen of Otisville, James Michael Lemmerman and his partner Kim Lazio of Merritt Island, FL, and Juliann Morales and her husband Daniel of Milford, PA; his grandchildren, Keirstyn Yocum and her husband Patrick, James Lemmerman, Logan Crance, Gavyn Crance & Tyler Lemmerman; his great grandchildren, James Lemmerman & Lily Lemmerman; his brother, John Henry Lemmerman and his wife Elsie of Long Island, and sister Virginia Thorenz of Middletown; and numerous nieces & nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM Friday, October 29th at Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
