Helen F. Wilson passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Elant Goshen. She resided in Orange County, NY for more than 56 years; living in Warwick, Greenville and Slate Hill. Helen operated Windy Ridge horse farm with her husband and children in Greenville for several years and was also a Secretary to the Greenville Planning Board.
Helen retired from Minisink Valley High School after 24 years as the secretary to the Principal. After her retirement she continued working as a Secretary for Upholstery Company in New Hampton, as a Deputy Town Clerk for Wawayanda, Secretary for the Senior Pacers, and Secretary for the Red Hat Woman's Society.
Helen had a passion for reading, cooking, sewing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She will always be remembered for being a very strong independent loving woman who was a Mom, Nana and friend to her family, as well as too many others. And, Helen will be missed tremendously; more than words can express, but her accomplishments and love for others will always be remembered.
Survivors include: son; Anthony Paul Wilson Jr and husband Richard McFeaters; daughter Patricia A. (Wilson) Kirby and husband Fred; daughter Joanne M. Wilson and wife Janine Sesa; daughter Susan P. (Wilson) Tarvin; and daughter Teresa A. Wilson. Grandchildren; Erin P. (Kirby) Eckert and husband Greg; Sara E. (Kirby) Rusk and husband Bill; Greg Tarvin and wife Jren; and Kevin Tarvin. Great-grandchild; Alexis Nicole Eckert. Amy Baker was Helen's Home Health Companion; and she also had many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Helen was predeceased by her husband of 22 years; Anthony Paul Wilson in 1973; her mother, father, one sister and two brothers.
Visitation will be held on Helen's 85th Birthday, Saturday, October 24, 2015, Cornelius, Dodd and Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove Street Middletown from 10am - 1pm with a Funeral Mass following at 2pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 626 County Route 22 South Centerville.
