Helen M. Perna

   Helen M. Perna, loving wife and mother, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Middletown Park in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was 80 years of age.

    The daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Foremny, she was born on March 16, 1937 in Goshen, NY.

   Helen was a homemaker and formerly had been employed at Polak’s Frutal Works and the Times Herald-Record both in Middletown. She was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Scotchtown. Helen enjoyed genealogy and tracing her Polish roots.

    Survivors include her beloved husband, Frank P. Perna at home in Middletown; loving sons, Daniel J. Perna and his wife Donna of Burlington, CT and Joseph Perna and his wife Teresa of Danbury, CT; her grandchildren, Justine and Denise Perna, Benjamin and Matthew Perna and Nathaniel Kenneth Perna; her brother, Frank Foremny and his wife Lorraine of Goshen; nephew Frank Foremny Jr. and his wife Patricia of Goshen; great nephew and niece, Colin and Taylor Foremny; and numerous cousins. Helen was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Ann Perna and son Gary M. Perna.

   Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Tuesday, December 26th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 AM Wednesday December 27th at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
