Harry J. Mann, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home in New Hampton, NY. He was 72 years of age.
The son of the late John and Mary Mann Jr., he was born on June 29, 1943 in Warwick, NY.
Harry was a retired automobile mechanic having worked in several garages in the Monroe and Warwick areas including Warwick Pontiac and Chevrolet and Country Chevrolet. Harry was a member of the Denton Presbyterian Church in New Hampton. He was a member of the Slate Hill Pacers, the Raymond Hose Fire Co. in Warwick and a member of the Fire Police. Harry had formerly worked with his father at Pioneer Farms and delivered milk to area homes. He also formerly mowed grass at the Warwick Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Dinsmore and also the Infusion Nurses of Orange Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care.
Survivors include; his wife Betty L. Mann, at home in New Hampton; his two daughters, Mary Jurbala of Pine Bush, and Marlene Huizer and her husband Greg of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren, Breanne Jurbala, Lauren Jurbala, Andrew Huizer and Ryan Huizer; his brother, John Mann III of Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews; his beloved Shihtzu Peanut and African Gray Dusty. He was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Joan Jordon.
Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Monday, October 19th in the Denton Presbyterian Church, 22 County Route 56, New Hampton, NY. Reverend Peter Johnson will officiate.
Interment of the cremains will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Town of Wawayanda, NY following the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
