Harry Emerson Homan, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 72 years of age.
The son of the late Blair and Verna Homan, he was born on July 16, 1942 in Pleasant Gap, PA.
Harry was employed as a maintenance mechanic and retired from Lafayette Paper Mills in New Windsor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the early 60's. Harry was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Middletown.
Survivors include: his loving wife Shirley Homan at home in Maybrook; his daughter Michelle Lynn Richardson and her husband Kenneth of Grahamsville; his 3 sons Harry E. Homan II, Wayne Homan and Marc Homan all of Walden; several grandchildren; his sister Judith Newcomb and her husband Kenneth of Highland Mills; one niece and one nephew. Harry was predeceased by his parents, and his daughter Jennifer Marie Homan.
Friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Tuesday, March 24th from 4-7 PM. A Memorial Service will begin at 7 PM with the Reverend Jerry Bricker officiating.
Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Interment of Harry's cremains will be in the Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made to Shirley Homan and sent to Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY 10940 to help with final expenses would be greatly appreciated.
