Harold “Freddie” Stoebling, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 85 years of age.
The son of the late Charles and Pauline Stoebling, he was born on October 6, 1935 in Otisville, NY.
Freddie proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and retired from the military after 22 years of service. He later was employed as a machinist for Reynolds Metals in Middletown and retired after 14 years of employment. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Middletown where he served on the Church Council, Men’s Fellowship, and former Sexton and was their 2012 Distinguished Disciple. Freddie was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
Survivors include; his loving wife, Janice Stoebling; his children, Clifford, Lance, Tawny, Khelie, Neil and Glen; 20 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his children Chuck & Jeffery, sister Gloria Loeven & brother Theodore Stoebling.
Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1-2 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY. Funeral Services will begin at 2 PM with Reverend Peter A. Rustico officiating. Military Honors will follow.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be required.
