Gerald R. Ketcham

Gerald R. Ketcham, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his home in Otisville, NY. He was 87 years of age.

   Son of the late Charles O. & Mildred Ketcham, he was born on March 8, 1937 in Middletown, NY.

   Gerald was the founder & President of Ketcham Fencing Inc. in Otisville, NY. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, a country music lover and enjoyed country dancing. He loved spending time with his family.  His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He was active in the Otisville community.

    Survivors include: his children, Sharon Belsten & her husband Kurt of Melbourne Beach, FL, Nancy Swaine and her husband Jeff of Otisville, and Gerald Ketcham Jr. and his wife Kelly of Monticello; his grandchildren, Tyler Ketcham and his wife Catie, Christopher Ketcham and his wife Brianna, Nicholas Belsten and his fiance Jiayu, Jason Swaine, Jennifer & Timothy Konetchy; great grandchildren, Connor, Nolan, Mackenzie, Abigail & Cody; his brothers, Walter “Gene” Ketcham and his wife Arlene of Otisville and Charles L. Ketcham and his wife Eileen of Otisville; several nieces & nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his wife Martha “Joan” Ketcham, his brother Raymond Ketcham, sister Marilyn Budd and special uncle & aunt Walter & Ethel Breen.

    A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 - 2 PM Sunday, October 20th and conclude with a prayer service at 1:50 PM at Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. A reception will be held 3 PM at the Otisville Fire House, 60 State St., Otisville following the service.

    Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
