Fred H. Buchner

   Fred H. Buchner, a 47 year area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. He was 83 years of age.

    The son of the late Henry W. and Berta Jacobs Buchner, he was born on April 14, 1934 in  Bronx, NY.

   Fred had been employed as a machinist with Litton Industries in Mt. Vernon, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

    Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth “Betsy” Buchner of Middletown and Meredith E. Buchner - Guers and her husband Keith of Oxford, CT; his granddaughter Emily E. Guers of Oxford, CT; his niece Carol and nephew Ralph. He was predeceased by his wife Eileen S. Buchner, his brother Ralph Buchner and sister Herta Buchner.

    Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday, February 25th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Funeral Services will begin at 4 PM with Reverend Peter A. Rustico officiating, followed by military honors.

    Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
