Ernest Bruce Wilson Sr

Ernest Bruce Wilson Sr., a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home in Middletown, NY. He was 93 years of age.

The son of the late Irving and Bessie Wilson, he was born on December 3, 1921 in Johnson City, NY.

Bruce had been a dairy farmer for most of his life working the family farm, Clover Bloom Farm in Bloomingburg. He later was employed as a custodian for Orange - Ulster BOCES in Goshen, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during W.W.II. Bruce was a long time member of the Bloomingburg Fire Company and also a member of the Mamakating V.F.W. Post 4947.

Survivors include: his wife, Eleanore D. Wilson at home in Middletown; his sons, Ernest Bruce Wilson Jr. and his wife Debbie Tobin of Montgomery, Gary Allen Wilson and his wife Helen of Bloomingburg, and Keith Lee Wilson of Middletown; his grandchildren, Bryan Wilson and his wife Brenda of Portland, OR, Melissa Wilson of Indianapolis, IN, Jessica Wilson, Nicole Wilson and Kimberly Wilson all of Bloomingburg, and Dale Wilson of Walker Valley; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Wilson, Clarice Wilson, Stephanie Williams and Vinny Valetutti; his brother James Wilson and his wife Joyce of Fruitland Park, FL and sister June Hulse of Beverly Hills, FL; several nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his sisters Olive Wilson and Virginia Wilson and brother Stanley Wilson.

Friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Friday, July 10th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 11th at the funeral home. Reverend Peter Rustico will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Bloomingburg, NY.
