Edward F. Murray

        Edward F. Murray, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his home in Wallkill, NY. He was 88 years of age.

    The son of the late Donald and Geraldine Burhard Murray, he was born on May 19, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY.

    Ed was a retired sales manager for the American Laundry and Machinery Co. in Cincinnati, OH.

   Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953 and then with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. He was a member of American Legion Post 151 in Middletown and a Life Member of Middletown Elks Lodge No. 1097. Ed had attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown.

   Survivors include; his loving wife Emily J. Murray at home in Wallkill; children, Edward J. Murray and his wife Joy of Chesapeake, VA, Bonnie Murray-Carlyle and husband Aubrey of Sykesville, MD, Patricia Ernst and husband John of Middletown, NY, Lisa Holvey and husband James of Pine Bush, NY, James L. Graham Jr. of Hollister, CA, William Graham and his wife Kathleen of Montgomery, NY and Catherine Dailey and husband Wayne of Wallkill, NY; 23 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister Karen Purta of Wurtsboro, NY; brother Kenneth Martini of Meade, WA; numerous nieces & nephews. Ed was predeceased by his son, Terence Murray, his sisters Grace Jones and Marie Dembeck and brother Ronald Martini.

    A walk through visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Monday, February 8th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.

   Graveside Services with military honors will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 9th at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, occupancy in the funeral home will be limited and a wait time to enter may be experienced. The wearing of masks and social distancing will be required.

    Memorial contributions in Ed’s memory may be made to any Disabled Veteran’s Group.
