Dennis J. Fairchild

Dennis J. Fairchild, a 12 year resident of Cooperstown, NY and formerly of Bloomingburg, NY entered into rest on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. He was 61 years of age.

The son of Helen Fairchild and the late Lester Fairchild, he was born on October 17, 1953 in Suffern, NY.

Dennis was formerly employed as a land surveyor.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Wolf and the Liver Transplant Team at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.

Survivors include; his mother, Helen Fairchild of Cooperstown; his daughter, Lyndsay A. Fairchild of Wilmington, NC formerly of Bloomingburg, NY; his son Reese M. Fairchild of Middletown formerly Bloomingburg; his brothers, Lester Fairchild of Liberty, NY and Russell Fairchild and his wife Joanne of Schenevus, NY; his sister, Betty Ann Hood of Anderson, SC; several nieces & nephews including Clayton Fairchild Jr, Ashley and Katelynn Fairchild, Tyler Littner, Cosette Littner , Blaise Littner and Sarah Covert; his former wife Patricia K. Fairchild. Dennis was predeceased by his father Lester Fairchild and brothers Charles, Clayton Sr. and Walter Fairchild.

Friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Saturday, March 14th from 5-8 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, March 15th, at the funeral home. The Reverend Daniel L. Hulseapple will officiate. Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westchester Medical Center Foundation Dept. of Transplants, 100 Woods Road, Taylor Pavilion Suite C-3, Valhalla, NY 10595
