Christopher W. Sugrue

Christopher W. Sugrue, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. He was 44 years of age.

      Son of Michael P. Sugrue and the late Catherine Sugrue, he was born on December 12, 1978 in White Plains, NY.

      Survivors include: his father, Michael P Sugrue and his wife Lilian of New Windsor, NY; his paternal grandmother, Doris Sugrue of Middletown; his brother, Scott M. Sugrue and Trish McAteer of Montgomery, NY; his niece Skylar Sugrue; 3 uncles, Geoff Fitzgerald and his wife Denise of New Jersey, John Fitzgerald of the State of Florida, and Jack Sugrue of Middletown; his aunt, Diana Stenson and husband Richard. Christopher was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Sugrue, paternal grandfather, John J. Sugrue Sr., and maternal grandparents, Catherine and Artie Milito.

      Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. A private visitation was held at Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown and a Memorial Mass was held in St. Joseph’s Church, Middletown. Interment of his cremains took place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown.

   Arrangements have been entrusted to Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
