Charles E. McLean, a retired lab technician for Lederle Labs in Suffern, NY, and a life-long area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 60 years old.
The son of the late Walter H. & Frances Cambareri McLean Gordon & the step-son of the late William F. Gordon, he was born March 10, 1947 in Otisville, NY. He was the husband of Nancy A. Rumsey McLean, who resides at home.
He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served his country during Vietnam as a communications expert; a member of the Otisville-Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church in Otisville, NY and a past member of the Otisville Fire Department.
Besides his wife, Nancy, Charles' survivors include: two daughters, Heather R. McLean of Wurtsboro, NY and Christine A. Doty of Middletown, NY; a son, John E. Doty Jr. & his wife, Marie, of Otisville, NY; two grandsons, Ryan J. McLean & John E. Doty III; a sister, Frances McLean Ogden, of Otisville, NY; three brothers, Walter McLean & his wife, Marie of Leesburg, FL, Merlyn McLean & his wife, Betty, of Lake Placid, FL & John McLean & his wife, Diane, of Old Town, FL; a sister-in-law, Marie McLean; many loving nieces & nephews.
Friends may call from 11-12 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Otisville-Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, Main Street, in Otisville.
Funeral Services will follow at the church at 12PM. Interment will follow at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY. The Reverend Jeffrey Farley will officiate.
