Charles D. Koehler Jr., a resident of the area for 28 years, entered into rest on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Middletown Park in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 97 years of age.
The son of the late Charles D. Koehler Sr. and Emily Kramer Koehler, he was born on February 23, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY.
Charles was employed as Assistant Vice President and Manager for the Continental Insurance Company in New York, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Life Member of the V.F.W. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Middletown.
Survivors include; his daughter, Joan Kammarada of Pine Bush, NY; his grandchildren, Robert Kammarada and his wife Paula of Newburgh, Tara Kammarada and husband Nicholas Tedeschi of Middletown, and John Kammarada and his wife Amanda of Tampa, FL; 3 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson. Charles was predeceased by his wife, Maureen Koehler and his brother Frederick Koehler who was killed during World War II.
Cremation took place in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Interment of his cremains will be in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
Memorial contributions in Charles name may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY 10940.
