Catherine M. Marino
Catherine M. Marino of Middletown, a full-time homemaker, who also enjoyed working various part-time positions, and a life-long resident of the area, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown, N.Y. She was 89.
The daughter of Dominick and Teresa Leonetti Raponi, she was born on November 10, 1916 in Middletown, N.Y. She was a truly devoted member of St. Joseph's Church in Middletown and a member of the "Old Ladies" card group.
She was the widow of Renaldo A. Marino.
Survivors include a daughter: Joan Decker of Morris, N.Y.; two sons: Nicholas Marino of Middletown, N.Y. and Michael M. and his wife Susie Marino of Middletown, N.Y.; numerous grand and great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also, two brothers: Guidio Raponi and Leo Raponi, both of Middletown, N.Y.; three sisters: Velia Calli of Middletown, N.Y., Philomena Pizza of Milton, N.Y., and Teresa Kingberg-Wagner of Seminole, FL; daughter-in-law Judy Marino and numerous nieces and nephews. A very special bond was shared with her great granddaughter, Katlyn. Her son, Ron and her brothers, Al, Eugene and Mariano Raponi predeceased her. The family wanted to acknowledge the foresight of Catherine's son, Ron, for pre-arranging his Mother's funeral service.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 8, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove Street, Middletown, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, N.Y.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, N.Y.
