Bonnie L. Gordon, a 54 year area resident, entered into rest on Monday, August 12, 2024 at her home in Middletown, NY. She was 78 years of age.
Daughter of the late William and Ellener Cockburn, she was born on August 11, 1946 in Suffern, NY.
Bonnie was a homemaker and had formerly been and employee of the Bell Telephone Company in Nyack. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was a former choir member, Altar Guild member and coffee hour committee member. Bonnie was also a former Girl Scout leader with the Sarah Wells Council. Most recently she enjoyed babysitting for family and friends.
Survivors include: her daughters, Danielle M. Lawrence and husband Edward of Middletown and Jennifer L. Carl and husband Matthew of Middletown; her grandchildren Kristofer Gordon and wife Rebecca, Alexandra and Trevor Lawrence; great grandson Thomas Lawrence; her sisters, Wendy Gates of Pearl River, Cindy Daly of Pine Bush and Nan Worum and husband Gordon of Bozeman, MT; nieces & nephews Drew Calpin, Bjorn Worum, Justin Worum, Kari & Nate Young; sister-in-law Audrey Griswold and her son Charles Lee Griswold; several great nieces & great nephews. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, her husband Carl Thomas Gordon, daughter Carla Dawn Gordon, son Steven W. Gordon, niece Charlene Kelly and nephew William Calpin.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-8 PM Monday, August 19th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.
Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 20th at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY. Reverend Rebekah Swanson will officiate. Interment will take place 11 AM Wednesday, August 21st in the St. Paul Highview Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
