New Hampton, formerly of Middletown and Central Valley
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, who gracefully departed this world on March 28, 2026, after a brief illness. She blessed us with 94 years of joy and warmth.
Antoinette (Toni) was the beloved daughter of the late John and Eva Marsi, who guided her in life with love and strength. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Stephanie Melde, and her cherished adopted sister, Renate Sorice. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
A devoted mother, she is survived by her loving daughter, Marsi Ann Clark and her husband, Guy, of New Hampton, NY, and her adoring son, Thomas Linguanti of Satellite Beach, FL. Her legacy continues through her four grandchildren, who she adored deeply, David and Thomas of NY along with Erica (Eli) and Matthew of FL.
An alumna of Spring Valley High School, she began her professional journey as a legal secretary, a role that showcased her remarkable organizational skills and attention to detail. She retired after a distinguished 25-year career with International Paper Co., where she served as a dedicated secretary to the Senior Manager and the Packaging Development Group. Her colleagues admired her unwavering commitment and the grace she brought to the workplace.
Toni had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She found immense joy in music, dancing and meeting friends. Her weekly bridge games were a testament to her sharp mind and competitive spirit, always enjoyed in the company of cherished friends. Her love for travel took her on countless adventures, creating memories that she held dear.
Her culinary talents were legendary, particularly her Sunday sauce and cheese cake, which brought family and friends together in delightful gatherings filled with laughter and love. It was these moments, where her hospitality shone brightest, that her spirit will be most fondly remembered. And, of course, she never left the house without her signature red lipstick, a symbol of her timeless elegance and vibrant personality.
In keeping with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to People for People Fund, an organization close to her heart, at www.peopleforpeoplefund.org or via mail at PO Box 249, Middletown, NY 10940.
Our beloved mother lived a life full of grace, love, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her memory will forever be a guiding light in our hearts, as we strive to live with the same passion and kindness she so effortlessly embodied.
