Andrew M Swiat

Andrew M. Swiat, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his home in Bullville, NY. He was 68 years of age.

    The son of the late Stefan and Janina Jaskorzynska Swiat, he was born on April 13, 1949 in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany.

    Andy retired as an electrician with I.B.E.W. Local 363. He was a member of Hoffman Lodge No. 412, Free and Accepted Masons in Middletown.  Andy was also a charter member of the Bullville Fire Company and a member of the NRA.

    Survivors include his wife, Denise C. Swiat at home in Bullville; his son, Stefan Swiat of Phoenix, AZ; his sister Henia Zanetti of Cocoa Beach, Fl and brother Krystof Swiat and his wife Susan of Bullville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters Celina Valada and Maryann Swiat.

     Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY where Masonic Services will be conducted at 5:30 PM.

    Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.

    Memorial contributions in Andy’s name may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or to the Humane Society of Middletown, 142 Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
