Alison F. Zavadil

Alison F. Zavadil, a 40 year Middletown resident, entered into rest on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Montgomery, NY. She was 77 years of age.

     Daughter of the late Stanley & Eleanor Streifert Farnam, she was born on August 14, 1947 in Rome, NY.

     Alison had been employed in food service for the Middletown School District in the Liberty Street School and formerly worked in child care for the Hilltop Children’s Center in Middletown. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Middletown where she enjoyed attending Bible Study and attending many church functions.

    Survivors include: her daughter, Lynn A. Leone and husband Paul of Yorktown Heights, NY and her son, Paul T. Zavadil and his wife Christine Folchi of Montgomery, NY; her grandson Logan N. Leone of Yorktown Heights. Alison was predeceased by her sister Sandra Farnam.

    A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM Friday, October 11th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.

    Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 12th in the First Congregational Church, 35 East Main St., Middletown, NY. Pastor John Velez will officiate.

   Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 35 East Main St., Middletown, NY 10940, the Humane Society of Middletown, 142 Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
