Alfred H. Wessels

Alfred H. Wessels, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 87 years of age.

   The son of the late Henry and Anna Wessels, he was born on November 17, 1937 in Queens, NY.

   Alfred was the owner and operator of Wessels Farms in Otisville. He graduated from the Otisville Union Free School and had served in the National Guard. He enjoyed woodworking and had traveled extensively with his late wife Arlene in their mobile home “Moby”.

   Survivors include; his children, Susan Petak and Michael A. Wessels and his wife Lyn both of Otisville: his 3 grandchildren Brittany Petak, Matthew Wessels and Gabrielle Wessels; his 3 great grandchildren Hunter, Clair and Ayden. He was predeceased by his wife Arlene V. Wessels on February 6, 2024.

   A visitation for family and friends will be held 5-8 PM Friday, May 9th at Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.

   Graveside Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 10th at the Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery, Otisville. Reverend Dorinda Violante will officiate.
