Agnes Elizabeth "Betty" Haskin

Agnes Elizabeth “Betty” Haskin, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was 92 years of age.

    The daughter of the late James and Agnes Haskin, she was born on September 9, 1928 in Middletown, NY.

    Betty had been employed as a housekeeper at the Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus in Middletown.

   Betty was a graduate of the Middletown High School in the Class of 1946. She was a member of the former First Baptist Church in Middletown, a volunteer for Literacy of America, a member of the Foster Grandparent Program at HEADSTART, former member of the Greater Middletown Interfaith Council and former reader for Radio Vision.

   Survivors include; her brother, Robert J. Haskin and his wife Lorraine of Montgomery, NY; her sister, Patricia M. Orzeck of Middletown, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents, sister, Julia Ann Johnson, and brothers William R. Haskin and James F. Haskin.

    Cremation will took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

     Interment of Betty’s cremains will take place at 4:30 PM Wednesday, April 14th at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Bloomingburg, NY.

    Memorial contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
