Robert F. Harding

Robert F. Harding, a 30 year area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his home in Middletown, NY. He was 92 years of age.

    The son of the late Eugene and Kate Ballou Harding, he was born on July 11, 1925 in Owego, NY.

   Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, serving during World War II and then the Korean War and retiring from military service in 1964. Following his service to his country, Bob was employed as a manager for Palermo Plumbing Sales in Norwood, NJ.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Middletown where he served as a Deacon and Usher.

    Survivors include: his wife of 70 years, Lucy Ann Harding, at home in Middletown; his son, Robert J. Harding and his wife Phyllis of Middletown; his granddaughters, Debra McElroy of Middletown and Jessica Ruiz and her husband John of Lusby, MD; his great grandchildren, Skylar and Gary Howard of Lusby, MD; and one great-great grandson Caleb Robert Stevenson of Lusby, MD. Bob was predeceased by his brothers William, Theodore and John Harding.

    At Bob’s request, services will be private and interment will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Middletown, NY with military honors.
