Ramon Alzamora Obituary

 

   Ramon F. Alzamora, a 61 year area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Valley View Center in Goshen, NY surrounded by his family. He was 87 years of age.

    The son of the late George Paul and Marjorie Fuller Alzamora, he was born on February 28, 1931 in Oceanside, NY.

   Ramon was a real estate broker, builder and land developer and owner of Creative Homes Realty in Bloomingburg.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1956. Ramon was a member and Past Master of Standard Lodge No. 711 Free & Accepted Masons in Monroe. He took his Degrees in Masonry through the Scottish Rite and was a 33rd Degree Mason.  Ramon was a member of the Multiple Listing Service. He was very proud of having his pilot’s license and owning his own airplane.

    Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Janet E. Alzamora at home; his children, Arthur J. Alzamora and his wife Maryann of Summitville, Edward J. Alzamora of Monticello and Karen J. Leslie and her husband Albert of Otisville; his grandchildren Arthur J., Richard R. Michael, Joseph, Bryan and Timothy Alzamora, Nicholas and Daniel Leslie, Jamie Mathis, Kimberly Leslie and Abigail Alzamora; his 8 great grandchildren; his niece, Jo Ann Conley and her husband Jerry of Missouri; his former daughter-in-law Laureen Alzamora of Walden and sister-in-law Gloria DeVries and her husband Piet of Port St. Lucie, FL. Ramon was predeceased by his son Richard R. Alzamora, sister Marcia Friel, sister Pat Buntin and niece Doris Buntin.

    Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery, Otisville, with military honors.

    Memorial contributions in Ramon’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
