Pauline Knickerbocker

  Pauline Knickerbocker, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was 90 years of age.

    The daughter of the late Rufus and Vola Stelter Ghear, she was born on November 29, 1927 in Middletown, NY.

    The family wishes to thank Dr. Alexander Fruchter and his nurses Jill and Jeanette for providing years of compassionate care.

    Survivors include her daughters, Paula J. Rose and her husband Stephen of Middletown and Aileen Thiele of Glen Spey, NY; her grandchildren, Ashley Rose and her husband Jason VanDyke of Middletown, Dyan Thiele and Nikki Thiele both of Glen Spey; her great grandchildren Kaylee and Claire; her brother, Donald Ghear of California. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Clair B. Knickerbocker.

    Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
