Mary Grace Killian

   Mary Grace Killian, a 22 year area resident formerly of Glendale, Queens, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at her home in Middletown, NY. She was 96 years of age.

    The daughter of the late John and Bridget Flynn McDermott, she was born on August 2, 1922 in County Leitrim, Ireland.

    Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Otisville, NY.

  Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She was a woman of great faith who had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. Over her lifetime, she inspired and supported countless family members. She was sweet and loving and made the best apple pie anyone ever tasted!

    Survivors include; her loving children, Brian F. Killian and his wife Pamela of Largo, FL, Carolyn Killian and her husband Mark A. O’Connor of Riverside, CT and Richard P. Killian of Middletown; her daughter-in-law Eileen Gearey of Belle Harbor, New York; her beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Bridget, Patricia and Hugh; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Kenny and Scarlett; her sister, Merici McDermott Ullrich of Otisville and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Frank P. Killian, her son Kenneth J. Killian, her sister Rose Thomas and brothers Patrick Joseph McDermott and John Francis McDermott.

    A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-7 PM Friday, February 8th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM Saturday, February 9th at the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 45 Highland Avenue, Otisville, NY. Reverend Michael Palazzo will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Holy Name Cemetery.

    Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to the Holy Name of Jesus Church, P.O. Box 597, Otisville, NY 10963.
