Lucille Martinez

   Lucille Martinez, a resident of Jamaica, Queens, NY, entered into rest on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Fresh Meadows, NY. She was 98 years of age.

    The daughter of the late Jose and Anna Cortes Marcial, she was born on November 14, 1920 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

   Lucille was employed on the clerical staff of the American Bible Society in Manhattan, NY.

    Survivors include; her son, James E. Martinez of Otisville; her son-in-law Jose E. Ramirez of Otisville; her grandchildren, David W. Ramirez and his wife Hilaris of Middletown, Michelle J. Ramirez and her husband Jose David Trinidad of Middletown and Eric M. Ramirez and his wife Veronica of West Palm Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her daughter, Irma Ramirez and her siblings Louis Marcial, Andrea Marcial, Jose Marcial, Regino Marcial and Bruno Marcial.

    A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM Wednesday, January 16th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. A funeral service will begin at 7 PM immediately following the visitation with the Reverend Jeffrey Farley officiating. Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
