Leonard P. Johnson

    Leonard P. Johnson, a 45 year resident of Middletown, NY, entered into rest on Saturday,, January 26, 2019 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 63 years of age.

    The son of the late Leonard J. and Kathryn Johnson, he was born on August 2, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY.

   Leonard was a former butcher and had been employed at ShopRite in Houston, TX. He enjoyed restoring cars, riding his motorcycle and making jewelry. When he lived in Texas, he enjoyed owning and riding horses.

    Survivors include; his girlfriend, Isabel Silva of Portugal; his brother, James J. Johnson and his wife Adicta of Valley Stream, NY; his niece Jessica Johnson and nephew James Johnson; his aunt, Catherine Mangan; several cousins; and his white German Shepherd Duke.

    Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 &7-9 PM Friday, February 1st at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM Saturday, February 2nd at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Interment will follow in the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY.

    Memorial contributions may be made in Leonard’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 333 Seventh Ave., 17th floor, NY, NY 10001
