Jean V. Zahorchak

  Jean V. Zahorchak, 79, of Circleville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 19, 2018.

    Daughter of the late Michael and Emma Blessinger, Jean was born in Queens, NY.

     Jean was a retired switchboard operator at Horton Hospital in Middletown, NY. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. As the family matriarch, her strong love and talent in the kitchen always brought her large family together. Her love was truly unconditional and endless, she will be missed tremendously.

     Jean is survived by her children, Michael (Mary) Zahorchak, Robert (Dori) Zahorchak, Susan (Michael) Del Vecchio, Joann (John) Riccardi, and Teri Boniface; her best friend and sister, Dorothy Harris, sister-in-law Kathryn Blessinger; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene, son Edward, daughter Deborah, grandson Ryan Hewett, granddaughter Chelsea Rene Del Vecchio and brother Joseph Blessinger. 

    Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-8 PM Friday, February 23rd at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM Saturday, February 24th at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Interment will follow in the Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NY.
